Today was one of the first beautiful, warm days in Northern New Mexico. We were thrilled to go to Santa Fe and attend Garcia Street Books' Meet the Author Series. Shirley MacLaine was there to chat with the crowd and sign her new book "I'm Over All That And Other Confessions."

Shirley spoke to the 350+ people gathered for the event. While we waited for Shirley's arrival(she was and is always on time), we saw a Buffalo Dance in the courtyard at the Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe near the Plaza.

Shirley talked and answered questions from the audience for over an hour. I don't want to spoil her book for those of you who haven't read it yet. Her book is VERY entertaining, inspirational, motivational and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Today, Shirley talked about the younger generation's work ethic or lack thereof; December 21st 2012 and the alignment of the planets; past life exploration and reincarnation; UFO's and the high concentration of crystals in Northern New Mexico due to the volcano that resulted in the Valles Caldera; memories from her many travels and, of course, her beloved Teri. The audience loved her talk. It was a lot of fun.

We then queued up to get Shirley's signature. She was wonderful.
